Yolanda Mesa (Medellín, Colombia, 1953) studied Graphic Design at the Instituto de Artes in Medellín, Fine Arts at the Escuela de San Fernando in Madrid, and printmaking at the Pratt Graphic Art Center in New York. She was a teacher at the Instituto de Artes in Medellín and at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá.
She has held numerous exhibitions in Colombia, Mexico, New York, various cities in the United States, Germany, and France. Her work is part of important collections at the Museum of Modern Art in Bogotá, the Bolivarian Museum of Contemporary Art in Santa Marta, the Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena, the Rayo Museum in Roldanillo, the Chopo University Museum in Mexico City, the Museum of Art of Tolima, and the U.S. Embassy in Bogotá, among others.
She currently lives and works in Bogotá.
